Love to hit up this place in the summer heat or just chit chat with friends! I usually get a Snow White mango juice with sago and pomelo, or a Snow White juice and red bean with green tea ice cream, or a mango coconut smoothie-o. Honestly you cannot go wrong with anything you order here! Everything is so good !
Great casual spot for something nice and refreshing. The desserts were great and hit the spot. Seating is self serve and first come first serve which didn't bother us. We ordered quickly and got the desserts quickly and enjoyed them at the table and left when ready. The mango ice cream on the dessert was awesome and hit the spot. We'll definitely be back for additional desserts like the crepe cakes and drinks.
Great desserts and in love with all the boxes of mangoes they had stacked along the walls. Everything was fresh and expected. Tables looked clean and the cashier was nice. This is the type of joint that is self served. You grab a table and order yourself, and pick up your order to the table. I took off one star because there were people waiting for their orders at the tables..meaning 1 person sitting on a table for 4 while we were dine in customers waiting for a table. I would definitely come back here and I hope seating wouldn't be a reason for my deterrent.
Whenever we come to eat near 86th St, we always make a pit stop here for their delicious mango desserts. We just love how fresh and sweet their mangos are. We have tried other dessert places that also serve mango desserts but for some reasons it doesn't taste as good as here. It's also amazing to see how many boxes of mangos they have imported because they display them against their windows. This place is pretty low key, almost like self-served (we ordered, they called out our order, we picked up & sit at any table and once done we threw away the trash). In addition, they have a free app for exclusive members to earn points to redeem for free Mango Mango favorites. If you want great mango desserts then this is the place.
I'm reviewing this based on the consistency of its flavors over the years that I've eaten here and across their different locations that I've been to. I always enjoy their mango pancakes and bowls as it's a light and easy dessert after a meal. In my opinion, they are just as filling as a meal. The taste and quality are still the same and I still always leave content. If you're in the 86th st area looking for a quick simple dessert, this is a solid spot! There seems to have been a lot of changes here though. In the past, there would be a standard service like a cafe where you get seated and your orders get taken. I usually go to the location in 8ave and that was how it was (I'm unsure if that location has changed too). This location's service is similar to the Chinatown location. Essentially, you seat yourself where you want and you have to order the food up at the counter. What's different here is that they now serve your food in the takeout containers instead of silverware. Definitely different however not a bad thing either! I don't know their reasoning for changing it but I think it's still a solid dessert spot. I'm satisfied that the quality of their desserts have been consistent throughout. If you are alright with a more self service type of dessert spot, I think this would be great! It makes it much easier to take home any leftovers as well.
Mangos for dessert. Why not? Cold or hot desserts? Decisions decisions. Came here on two separate days in a row. With the cold weather creeping in on us, I went here for the hot desserts - the ube and black sesame sago pudding with chewy rice balls. Not overly sweet and soothing soupy texture (think of this as a sweet soup as good as your standard butternut squash soup). Even the rice balls was fun to chew from the sagos. Ube and black sesame are always a great safe selection for this hot dessert. Day 2 is when we tried their signature mango desserts. There's 10 different variations of this dessert because of the ice cream, toppings and mango combo. My friend had the #1 mango pomelo selection and I chose the mango pomelo snow white one. The mangos are so ripe, sweet and overwhelmingly delicious each to its tropical fruity bite. No wonder everyone who ordered a mango dessert always asked for more mangos. The mango ice cream was as richly sweet as the fruit. My snow white mango version was as good and did have that flaky feel from the shaved ice cream. This location was so clean and spacious, a good relaxing pit stop after a big meal. The couches were very comfortable and the boxes of mangos stacked on the side was a nice decorative touch. The only downside about this place was they no longer use bowls, cups, plates and other dishware besides disposable plastic bowls and paper cup containers for the food. Cost efficient I guess after the effects of the pandemic. And there's only one person servicing the front, to take the orders and service the diners. Patience is needed but the service is still good. There's hot desserts, cold desserts, rolls, crepe cakes and pastries. Can't go wrong either way.
One of the better Mango Mango locations in terms of their desserts! This location is pretty much self-service - orders are placed & picked up at the counter, and utensils are available on the side. It gets busy really quickly, so If you're looking to sit down and eat, I'd come a bit earlier. I always order the A3, & it hits the spot! The mangoes here are ripe & sweet, thanks to the numerous boxes of mangoes they have decorating the room. I guess that's one of the perks of having so many boxes of mangoes - they'll definitely have some ripe ones! The mango mochi is pretty good too, & is my other go to item if I'm not feeling the A3.
